6 Recurring Mexico City Gay Underground Parties
Personally, what fascinates me most about Mexico City was the Mexico City Gay underground Sex Parties and cruising. These are the first things that I wanted to cover on this website and I think they are the most unique to Mexico City and you are least likely to find anything like that scene in other cities.
The Bars and Clubs in Zona Rosa and Republica de Cuba are what least impressed me, although there are certainly many new concepts that are worth checking out while you are visiting.
The purpose of this post is to list several very popular Mexico City Gay Underground dance party events that occur quite frequently. These have become very popular among a large part of the gay community. They are more of an international vibe, and are well attended by foreigners.
Keeping up with them will involve following their instagram accounts and monitoring dates. If you decide to go to a specific party you will be able to buy your tickets in advance. You may need to wait until the last minute before the location is revealed.
These parties almost always take place on the weekends, normally on a Saturday.
Pervert
Arguably the most popular of the underground parties, Pervert is also the most gay. This party has a cuarto oscuro with lots of cruising, and a dance floor filled with guys who want to dance all night long.

This is an absolutely unique concept based on a pretty tried and true fetish, men in athletic wear.
Wrestling gear is the favorite at this event, but you’ll fit in wearing gym shorts, or a jock strap as well.
They are very strict about everybody being in athletic gear at this party, and it really results in a cool, sexy, locker room vibe all night.
This is one of my favorite underground events. It is a different crowd than the ‘too cool for school’ Pervert and Por Detroit crowd, and there is much much more sex. The downside is that this party is one that takes place less frequently, so plan accordingly if you want to include it on your trip.

Cerdos
Very new event in collaboration with club Sexto Piso. It’s a very cool guy atmosphere here while being very inclusive at the same time.
It’s a really cool dynamic that I’ve really only found in Mexico. If you are in town for this event I really recommend you check it out.

Brutal
If you’re a fan of Techno this is the event for you. This is the most frequent of the parties on this list. This has actually become a weekly event.
Definitely a cool kids / rave vibe here. Very gay friendly and very LGBTQ+
Por Detroit
This party checks all the boxes except for the gay. I find it has the most straight people, but the straights who go tend to be really cool. There was a Cuarto Oscuro the last time I went, but everybody was too shy to use it.
Honestly I think this event is a little self conscious. The people who go are a little too cool to cruise in the cuarto oscuro or to dance in the deubacheurous way that you’ll find at pervert.
Fixxion
This party is inspired by many of the Berlin style raves. It is always held in very cool locations and very focused on outrageous fashion.
